Teen Cyclist in Critical Condition After Being Struck by Car Near Forest Park

A teenager is in critical condition after being struck by a car while riding his bike near Forest Park today.

The 17-year-old boy was riding his bike near Woodhaven Boulevard and Park Lane South in Forest Hills, when he was struck by a Nissan Maxima at approximately 11:30 a.m., police said.

The teen suffered trauma to the head and was rushed to Long Island Jewish Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

The 22-year-old male driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
