Police: Robber snatches wallet from 69-year-old at 67 Ave station

A 69-year-old man was the victim of a robbery at the 67 Ave station in Forest Hills, where his wallet was stolen directly from his pocket, according to police.

The victim was walking up the stairs to exit the subway station at approximately 11:20 am on July 9 when another man reached into his pocket and snatched his wallet, which had multiple credit cards in them, police say.

The victim resisted, but eventually the robber fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim was not injured after struggling with the thief, police said.

Police also say that after the incident, the robber made multiple charges to the victim’s credit cards, according to police.

A video of the suspect has been released by the NYPD, who describe him as male, Black, and in his 20s.
