Sept. 21, 2017 By Tara Law

Police are looking for a man accused of taking pictures of a woman through a window while she was using the bathroom at an elementary school.

The man allegedly took video footage or pictures of a 43-year-old woman who was using a basement restroom  at PS 174 William Sidney Mount Elementary School, located at 65-10 Dieterle Crescent, at around 1:30 pm Tuesday.

The victim told police she saw a man holding a phone and looking at her through the window as she was using the bathroom.

She told the police that the bathroom is usually used by the schoolchildren.

“The safety and security of students and staff is our top priority,” said Department of Education spokeswoman Miranda Barbot in a statement. “The school community has been notified and we’re working with the school to address it.”

The police are still investigating the incident. No arrests have been made.
