Peruvian eatery in Forest Hills robbed by two men who claimed they were armed: NYPD

A Peruvian restaurant in Forest Hills was robbed by two men on the night of Sunday, Jan. 7, with one of the suspects claiming he had a firearm, according to the NYPD.
Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills are searching for the two perpetrators who walked into El Pollo Inka Peru, located at 112-20 Queens Blvd., just before 11:30 p.m. and threatened to shoot a 36-year-old woman who works at the eatery unless she handed over cash. The men took a black safe box containing $8,000 in cash and sped away from the crime scene in a yellow 2008 Chevrolet Camaro in an unknown direction.
The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspects on Monday and described one of them as having a medium complexion, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with a heavy build who was wearing a dark-colored hooded rain jacket, black pants and red and black gloves. His accomplice is described as having a medium complexion, approximately 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. He was wearing a multi-colored jacket.

Through Jan. 21, the 112th Precinct has reported five robberies so far in 2024, two more than the three reported at the same point last year, an increase of 66.7%, according to the most recent CompStat report.
