NYPD: Woman shoved by homeless man down stairs at 71-Continental train station

A 54-year old woman was pushed down a flight of stairs at the 71st–Continental Ave subway by a homeless man Saturday, police said.

The woman was walking down the staircase leading to the platform at around 8:50 am Christmas Eve. when a homeless man shoved her down the steps leaving her with lacerations to the mouth and lip, and a fractured elbow.

The victim was take to Elmhurst Hospital.

Police arrested Patt Mahony, 40, for assault.

If only the MTA could invest more on CCTV security cameras on these major stations, then crime could go down across the board.
