NYPD: Man falls to his death from a sixth-story window in Rego Park

A 26-year-old man fell to his death from a sixth floor window of a Rego Park apartment building yesterday, according to police.

The victim, John Davie of 78th Road, fell from the building, located at 62-98 Saunders St, at around 2:55 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Davie was doing work on the apartment with his father and a third man, according to the New York Daily News. The fall is believed to have been an accident.

Police found Davie lying on the ground, unconscious and unresponsive, with severe trauma to his head and body. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
