Motorcyclist Killed After Losing Control of His Bike on Van Wyck Expressway: NYPD

A 31-year-old motorcyclist was killed early this morning when he lost control of his bike and fell to his death on the Van Wyck Expressway.

Lee Sinanan, a resident of 123rd Street in South Richmond Hill, was riding southbound near Jewel Avenue, when he lost control of his 2005 Suzuki motorcycle at around 2:48 a.m. and hit the pavement, according to police.

Police said they found Sinanan lying on the roadway with injuries to his head and to his body.

He was unconscious and unresponsive, police said.

EMS transported Sinanan to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police said there were no other people involved in the incident and the investigation remains ongoing.

The police said the family of Sinanan has been notified of his death.
