Modern Spaces to Host Multi-Site Event Showcasing New Queens Developments this Saturday

Modern Spaces, the Long Island City-based real estate firm, is hosting a free, catered, multi-site event Saturday where it will be showcasing several new developments spread throughout Queens.

The event, titled ‘SpacesOpen,’ takes place on Sept. 23—from 12:00pm through 3:00pm–and will consist of tours conducted by Modern Spaces agents at separate sales and rental buildings in Long Island City, Rego Park and Flushing.

Food and light refreshments will be provided at each model location, which feature custom artwork and detailed finishes.

The Harrison located at 27-21 44th Dr, selling 1-3 bedroom units starting at $855,000

The Jackson located at 13-33 Jackson Ave, with 1-4 bedrooms starting at $865,000

The Decker located at 21-10 44th Dr, selling 1-3 bedroom units starting from $780,000

LIV@ Murray Park South located at 11-30 45th Rd. with studios to 3 bedroom apartments beginning at $520.000

The Baker House located at 41-07 Crescent St. renting studios to 1 bedrooms starting at $2,275

Huis24 located at 41-22 24th St, with studio to 2 bedroom rentals starting from $2,250

Meanwhile, catered tours will also be conducted for rental units at The Drake on 62-60 99th St in Rego Park, and condominiums at The Grand @ Skyview Parc Towers on 131-03/131-05 40th Rd in Flushing.

This event is expected to be the first in a series of similar SpacesOpen events, and requires no advanced registration.

A Queens grand jury indicted a Brooklyn teenager for murder in the second degree and other crimes in the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old in Ridgewood on April 22.

The shooting took place on the same street as Joseph F. Quinn Intermediate School 77. The 16-year-old gunman from Flushing Avenue in Brooklyn was arraigned Friday in Queens Supreme Court and faces up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted.

Woman sought for attacking fellow passenger aboard the R train in Forest Hills: NYPD

Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills and Transit District 20 are looking for a woman who allegedly assaulted an older woman on board an R train on the night of Sunday, May 25.

The 53-year-old victim was riding a Manhattan-bound train near the Forest Hills-71st Street station just after 9 p.m. when she was approached by a stranger, and the women engaged in a verbal dispute. The argument escalated into violence when the suspect slapped the woman in the face and punched her in the back of the head before running off the train in an unknown direction, police said Thursday.
