Police are looking for a man who threatened to shoot a security guard at the Chase Bank branch in Rego Park Thursday—before stealing an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect allegedly entered the 97-41 Queens Blvd. branch at around 11:10 a.m. and then grabbed a 21-year-old security guard, placed a hard object to his back and then told him to walk over to the teller window or he would shoot. He then demanded money from the teller.

The teller complied and the suspect made off with cash. The man fled the location northbound on Queens Boulevard and then got into a white four-door sedan.

The suspect is described as Black, between 35 to 40 years old, and about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a green winter cap, a black jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information in regard to this robbery is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

Bail reform and the lax policing standards of the left have driven this city back thirty years. When you demonize the Police but idolize and cater to the criminals then you get more crime. Time to get a politician or group of politicians who are tough on crime, bringing back stop and frisk and have overall more conservative policies.
