Man on Motorized Bike Struck Dead by MTA Bus in Eastern Queens Saturday

A man on a motorized bike was fatally struck by the driver of an MTA bus Saturday at the intersection of 128th Avenue and 238th Street in Laurelton (GMaps)

A man was fatally struck by an MTA bus Saturday morning in eastern Queens.

The NYPD said that a man on a motorized bike was struck by the bus at around 10:40 a.m. near the intersection of 128th Avenue and 238th Street in Laurelton. The bus was traveling southbound while the victim was riding eastbound.

EMS arrived on the scene where the victim was pronounced dead. The deceased was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The MTA driver stopped at the scene of the accident. He has been suspended from driving while the investigation continues.

The identity of the victim has yet to be released.
