A man is dead after jumping off a balcony inside the Queens Center Mall on New Year’s Day, according to police.

Tobar Galo, 45, jumped off the third floor at around 7:50 p.m. in an apparent suicide.

Medics treated him on the scene and took him to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The incident was not the first suicide at the mall.

On Feb. 27, 2013, Devon Powell, 28, died after jumping from three stories inside the mall near the mall’s Macy’s store, reported the Daily News. Powell reportedly had recently lost a job working at the mall.

On April 9, 2009, Jamaica resident Mary Lovelace, 55, was also killed after jumping off a mall balcony.
