Forest Hills branch library to reopen Thursday

Forest Hills Library

June 13, 2017 By Christian Murray

The Forest Hills Library will reopen Thursday after being shut down for repairs for since mid April.

The popular library at 108-19 71st Avenue, which is the sixth-most visited library out of the 62 branches in Queens, closed so it could undergo an entire roof replacement.

The branch will officially reopen at 12pm on June 15.

The roof repairs cost about $650,000 and were fully funded through funding from Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz.
