A Flushing shopping center is hosting a Lunar New Year celebration later this month to ring in the Year of the Tiger.

The Shops at Skyview, in partnership with the New York Chinese Cultural Center and the Queens Botanical Garden, is hosting the free celebration on Saturday, Jan. 29 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will feature several cultural performances and family-friendly activities to celebrate the Year of the Tiger. Children can participate in the celebration with arts and crafts, games, prizes and a wishing tree.

The activities will take place inside the center, located at 40-24 College Point Blvd., on the fourth floor near the F21 Red store.

The shopping center did not host the event in 2020 or 2021 due to safety concerns stemming from COVID-19.

More information can be found on the Shops at Skyview website.
