An attorney was fatally stabbed inside an immigration law firm office in Flushing Monday and a 25-year-old woman has been arrested in relation to the deadly attack.

The victim, a 66-year-old man, was allegedly stabbed multiple times by the woman inside the office, located at 136-56 39th Ave., at around 11:45 a.m.

The stabbing took place following a heated argument between the victim and the woman, who was his client. The dispute escalated and the woman stabbed the man in the body and neck, police said.

When police arrived on the scene the victim was unconscious and unresponsive.

The man was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst where he was pronounced dead.

The woman was taken into custody and charges against her are pending, police said.

The identity of the attorney is being withheld pending family notification, cops said.

The investigation is ongoing and no further details were provided by police.

Who made the decision to send the lawyer to Elmhurst instead of NYP Queens or Flushing Hospital which are merely 3 miles away?

The type of injury (in this case a stabbing and the severity of it) dictates which hospital is chosen.
