13-year-old girl killed after being hit by subway train in Rego Park

A 13-year-old girl was struck and killed by an R train in Rego Park yesterday afternoon.

According to police, 13-year-old Dina Kadribasic jumped on to the tracks at the 63rd Drive-Rego Park subway station around 3:50 p.m. Sunday afternoon to retrieve her dropped phone.

An oncoming R train hit her while she was trying to climb back on to the platform.

After being hit Kadrabasic was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.
