Five Teenagers Attack and Steal Cellphone From Straphanger on E-Train: NYPD

The police have released video footage of five teenagers wanted for attacking a man and stealing his cellphone on a Manhattan-bound E train in July.

The suspects—three men and two women– allegedly approached a 57-year-old man while on an E-train in Queens at around 7:15 p.m. on July 23 and asked to see his cellphone.

The victim displayed his cellphone before one of the men asked him if he wanted to fight. Meanwhile, another man snatched the cellphone out of the victim’s hands and then punched him in the face.

The suspects then fled to the next car before exiting at the Queens Plaza station. The victim sustained only minor injuries and didn’t require medical attention.

The police have released footage of the suspects.

The suspect, who allegedly threw the punch, is described as being in his late teens, with a medium complexion, slim build and black hair. He was last seen wearing sunglasses on his head, a pink shirt, a black backpack and black pants.

The second suspect is described as being in his late teens, with a dark complexion, slim build, black hair, last seen wearing a white face mask, no shirt, pink pants with white dots, and white sneakers.

The third suspect is described being in his late teens, with a medium complexion, medium build, black hair, last seen wearing a black face mask, no shirt, a black backpack and black pants.

The fourth suspect is described as being a female in her late teens, with a light complexion, medium build and black hair. She was last seen wearing eye glasses, a white face mask, a pink and black t-shirt, blue shorts and black sneakers.

The fifth suspect is described as a female in her late teens, with a light complexion, slim build, black hair, last seen wearing a pink headband, a white face mask, a white shirt and black pants.

Burglary crew sought for targeting drugstores in five different Queens precincts: NYPD

Police from five Queens precincts are looking for a pair of burglars who targeted independent mom-and-pop drugstores from Fresh Meadows to Astoria throughout December.

The two men allegedly broke into three drugstores in three different neighborhoods in a half-hour during the morning of Sunday, Dec. 15. While one stood guard outside a drugstore at 63-09 39th Avenue in Woodside, his partner broke through the glass front door at 5:50 a.m. Police from the 108th Precinct reported that he removed $400 in cash before leaving.
