Police have arrested an alleged bigot who assaulted a man in an apparent hate crime on Queens Boulevard Thursday.
The suspect approached the 47-year-old victim – who was with his 10-year-old son – and made repeated anti-Asian statements toward him on Thursday, March 12, at around 6:50 a.m., police said.
The alleged perpetrator then pushed the victim’s head with his hand – in an attack that took place at the corner of 70th Avenue and Queens Boulevard, according to police.
The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of the attack.
Police announced Saturday that the alleged perpetrator had been apprehended.
The police have released photographs of the suspect.
