Man in critical condition after jumping in front of train at Forest Hills subway station

A man is in critical condition after jumping in front of an F train in Forest Hills earlier today.

According to an NYPD spokesman, a 42-year-old man jumped in front of a moving F train around 10:15 this morning in the Forest Hills-71st Continental Ave. station.

The man was taken to Jamaica Hospital for treatment and is in critical condition, with lacerations to his left leg and hand, as well as trauma to the back of his head.

E, F, M, and R train service was disrupted but has resumed with delays since the incident.

If anyone witnessed this terrible accident please, let us know. The young man didn’t show any signs of depression to finish his life this way!

The NYC Subway System, one of the easiest places for a struggling someone to end a life without purpose: Suicides number statistics are always rampant in the past several years or so.

Dear Hanna or whom it may concern, i am a close relative to that man, contacting you on behalh of his 82-year-old father. We still don’t know what exactly happened. But we beleive that our relative who is still in critical condition could not do it to himself voluntary. Please let us know any details about it or anybody who happened to wittness the tragedy.

Woman sought for attacking fellow passenger aboard the R train in Forest Hills: NYPD

Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills and Transit District 20 are looking for a woman who allegedly assaulted an older woman on board an R train on the night of Sunday, May 25.

The 53-year-old victim was riding a Manhattan-bound train near the Forest Hills-71st Street station just after 9 p.m. when she was approached by a stranger, and the women engaged in a verbal dispute. The argument escalated into violence when the suspect slapped the woman in the face and punched her in the back of the head before running off the train in an unknown direction, police said Thursday.
