The pet supply chain store Petco is slated to open on the ground floor of the Rego Center shopping center at 61-35 Junction Blvd. next month.
Bob Ausburn, property Manager for the mall, confirmed that Petco is opening and said the space is currently under construction and expected to open mid-February. The leasing website recently released the latest map of retail tenants which includes the pet store.
This would be Petco’s fifth location in Queens, with the others in Forest Hills (91-09 Metropolitan Ave), Jackson Heights (75-07 31st Ave), College Point and Fresh Meadows. The corporation operates about 1,500 Petco stores across the U.S., Mexico and Puerto Rico, according to the its website.
Petco is a specialty retailer that provides products and services for pets including food supplies, grooming and consultation.
