Nearby homeowners are not happy about this.
Our area is already saturated with outdoor concerts, and we would welcome a little peace in our homes.
Not everyone thinks of outdoor noise pollution as a “treat.”
You can hear this in out home a mile away.
We already put up with way too many outdoor “treats” here.
Including racket from the Forest Park direction, not to mention the idiots looping the Jackie Robinson on their souped up motorcycles.
We actually moved here for peace and quiet. Every @$%# night we’re on the phone with 311.
You moved, your opinion is completely irrelevant
Free outdoor concerts are a great summertime escape. Forest Hills is a modern neighborhood. If you desired a lifestyle that afforded you “Peace & Quiet”, you should have selected a remote place that offers seclusion. Music is soothing to the mind, body & soul. The art of musical celebration is heightened when folks of ALL ages, backgrounds can gather and heal through sound{not noise}. The world needs this now…
Actually, this area of forest hills is a remote, tree-filled neighborhood. It is a mile from Austin.
Music that carries for a mile is a disturbance.
Why not have strolling musicians with acoustical instruments? That would be hugely enjoyable on Austin, and a relief from amplifiers.
