The police released a photo today of a man believed to be in his late twenties who allegedly struck a 79-year-old man in the face at the McDonald’s restaurant on Queens Blvd in October.
The police said that on Wednesday, October 12, at about 7:15 pm, the suspect approached the elderly man inside the 90-19 Queens Blvd restaurant and began striking him in the face and body. The victim fell to the ground, although was not hospitalized.
Police believe the incident was unprovoked.
The suspect is described as a male Hispanic who is 25-35 years old, 5’8″, 150lbs, with black hair and a black goatee and beard. He was last seen wearing a chain with a cross, a black jacket, black pants and sneakers.

The fashion in crime now. This shocking behavior results in many seniors staying home, in “lockdown” due to fear, when, ironically, the sick, nasty and demented criminal is free.
I was a victim of Elder abuse myself in early 2016, when 2 teens in Marshalls each shoved me very hard, purposely and separately, then ran away laughing. The boy was very tall, the girl short. At the time I was using a cane, after an injury, which was in my shopping cart, which I was leaning on. I wasn’t hurt at all, but shocked- and saddened by the stupid mean things teens can do on a dare. It’s rare, but people do need to be aware of their surroundings and what can happen. I consider the posting above to be a public service.
