The police are looking for a woman who allegedly attacked a 9-year-old boy who was walking with his parents along a Forest Hills Street Monday.

The woman approached the boy from behind at around 8:20 p.m. at the intersection of 112th Street and 71st Avenue and then grabbed him by the head and scratched him on the right cheek, police said.

The boy’s father confronted the woman who walked off and entered the Forest Hills-71st Avenue subway station.

The boy was taken to pediatric urgent care for treatment for the scratch.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-8477, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.

If Station Square becomes a pedestrian center for lounging and strolling this individual will have so many more children to attack. Perhaps FHGC should reconsider this peculiar proposition.

The woman appears to be somewhat mentally disturbed and carrying her belongings around typical of the Homeless. Thank the Mayor for housing the Homeless in an expensive Kew Gardens Hotel without providing the mental health services they need. It’s 1 or 2 subway stops away.

This week, I tried to enter the 75th Street subway station.
A man stood on the stairway blocking me. He said “if you touch me, I will throw you down the steps.”
The Mayor’s Kew Gardens Homeless Shelter is having an impact throughout the area.

Easy to have all the answers, when it isn’t happening to you.
I didn’t have my cell phone, so called on the nearby subway emergency call system.
Nobody answered.
5-minutes later, someone finally came on and said she would call the cops.
He didn’t actually say “if you touch me,” it was “if you come near me,”
It was impossible not to be near him since he was in the middle of the stairs to the subway. I ran past him very quickly.
Whatever. I have never, ever seen this kind of thing before in Forest Hills, and now avoid the 75th street station – but yesterday, at the 71st street station, an old man was sitting on the bench with a beer bottle yelling at passers by. Once again, a first.
