Police are searching for two men wanted for an assault and attempted robbery that took place earlier this week at the Grand Avenue M/R station.
On Sunday, April 21, around 7 p.m., a 35-year-old man was inside the station’s stairwell when he was grabbed from behind by the two men, who covered the his mouth. The victim fought back but was then struck across the head with an unknown object, causing a laceration. The two men then fled the scene without stealing anything from the victim.
EMS responded to the incident, but the victim refused medical treatment, police said.
One of the suspects is described as black, approximately 20 years old, 6 feet tall, and weighing 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black coat, black sweatpants, and grey sneakers with the letters “NYC” on them.
The other suspect is hispanic, approximately 20 years old, 5 feet 8 inches in height, and weighing 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, a dark grey hoodie, black jeans, and white and black Jordan sneakers.
