Chase Bank on Woodhaven Blvd robbed, police say

The Chase Bank branch located at the intersection of Woodhaven Blvd and Metropolitan Avenue was robbed this afternoon, according to police.

A man entered the 71-04 Woodhaven Blvd branch at about 3:25 pm and handed a demand note to the teller. The teller complied and the man was given an undermined amount of cash, He then then fled the location, police said.

Worked for a bank for many years. Always comply. Especially if the note says they have a gun. You never know if it is true or not & you would not want a hostage situation.

Motorcyclist killed after crashing into barrier on Jackie Robinson Parkway in Ridgewood: NYPD

A Floral Park man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed on the Jackie Robinson Parkway in Ridgewood on the morning of Thursday, June 26.

Daniel Moore, 39, of Cunningham Avenue, was riding a black 2010 Harley-Davidson Super Glide traveling eastbound on the highway through Highland Park when he failed to navigate the roadway near Cypress Avenue and struck a concrete divider, police said Thursday. The impact ejected Moore from the bike.
