Sarah McLachlan and The New York Pops orchestra group will be performing in Forest Hills this August.

The duo will perform at the Forest Hills Stadium for one night only on Aug. 2. Sales for the $50 to $130 tickets launched today, with some pre-sale entries becoming available earlier this week.

McLachlan, who has sold over 40 million albums worldwide, has won three Grammys, 12 Juno Awards and was recently inducted into the Canadian Hall of Fame.

Known by many for songs such as “I Will Remember You” from her 1999 album “Mirrorball” and “Angel” from her 1997 album “Surfacing,” McLachlan most recently came out with her 2014 album “Shine On” and her 2016 Grammy nominated Christmas album “Wonderland.”

In addition to her music career, McLachlan founded organizations such as the Lilith Fair tour, a festival that featured female performers and raised $7 million for women’s charities. McLachlan also founded her nonprofit organization, the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, in 2002 that provides musical education to underserved youth.

The New York Pops, New York’s only professional symphonic orchestra that focuses on popular music, was founded in 1983 and is lead by Music Director and Instructor Steven Reineke.

The orchestral group, now in its 33rd season, performs an annual series at Carnegie Hall and is involved with the “Kids in the Stadium” program, which provides Queens children and their families with free access to live music at the Forest Hills venue.
