Jan. 14, 2019 Staff Report

A café and rotisserie chicken shop that got its start in Forest Hills in 2016 continues to expand—opening its third eatery today.

Roast & Co., which was established at 100-12 Queen Blvd. in April 2016, announced on Facebook that its newest location at 80-60 Lefferts Blvd. is now open.

The opening comes a little over six months since it opened its second venue—at 82-60 Austin St., by the Kew Gardens Long Island Railroad Station.

The company is owned by Sami Toujani of Forest Hills and Hichem Ammous of Ridgewood.

Toujani said last year that he and Ammous established the cafés after noticing a lack of healthy, quick food options in the area.

The cafes offer items such as soup, salads, smoothies, panini, pastries and rotisserie chicken.

Kew Who

Impressive, considering the “second” and “third” location are less than 300ft from one another located in the same building.
