via Painting with a Twist

Forest Hill’s Painting With a Twist is offering its patrons a chance to paint for a good cause this Saturday.
The paint and sip studio, located at 97-14 Metropolitan Ave., is hosting a fundraiser on Dec. 1for the Carly Rose Foundation, an organization assisting families with children who have cancer.
For $45 a seat, guests will be equipped with a canvas, paint and a brush, and will be guided through the painting process in a step-by-step class—all while being able to enjoy some refreshing beverages from the bar.
A portion of each ticket—$15—will go directly towards the Carly Rose Foundation.
At the end of the event, each guest will be able to leave with their own colorful floral painting.
In addition to the painting portion of the afternoon, the Carly Rose Foundation will have other activities going on throughout the event, including a raffle.
“It’s a really beautiful fundraiser that they’re having,” said Felicia Singh, owner of Painting With a Twist Forest Hills.
The foundation, founded by childhood cancer survivor and Middle Village native Carly Rose Nieves, provides assistance to families with children battling cancer by covering medical bills and even household expenses so that families can focus on the health of their child.
The event at Painting With a Twist will begin at 3 p.m. and last for three hours. Tickets can be purchased on the Painting With a Twist website and by using the passcode “Carly”.
