NYPD: Chase Bank in Forest Hills Robbed, Suspect Scores $1,000 Cash

Police are searching for a man who robbed a Chase Bank in Forest Hills Thursday afternoon.

The suspect entered the bank at 107-36 71st Ave. around 2:50 p.m. and demanded money from the teller, police say.

The suspect was given $1,000 in cash and then fled the scene, heading west on Queens Blvd.

Police describe the suspect as a white male in his 50s. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, sunglasses and carrying a bag.

How would someone rob that branch? The glass wall in front of each teller is more than an inch thick. The branch is consistently crowded.

Before the Chase was closed a few months ago, at 67 Avenue, they were robbed at least twice. With some many people on Queens Blvd. and 71st how is this so brazen.

WITH ALL THE POLICE PATROLLING THE STREETS AROUND THERE THE MAN GOES IN AND ROBS A BUSY BRANCH WAY GO 112PT.
