Fall Festival to Take Place in Forest Park Tomorrow

A popular festival will be taking place at Forest Park tomorrow. 

The Fall Festival–an annual event that features a pumpkin patch, a bounce house, music, face painting and fall crafts–will be taking place Saturday at Victory Field, located near the intersection of Woodhaven Boulevard and Myrtle Avenue.

The event will run from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

This year’s festival will be sponsored by Council Member Eric Ulrich.

The median sale price across New York City rose 10% year-over-year in the first quarter of 2025, from around $698,000 last year to $768,000 this year, according to a report by the real estate database site PropertyShark. Several Manhattan neighborhoods had the most significant increases over this period of time among the boroughs included in the study (Staten Island is not included), from $999,000 in 2024 to $1.15 million in 2025.

Brooklyn woman fatally struck by motorcyclist while crossing Woodhaven Boulevard in Glendale: NYPD

A Brooklyn woman was struck and killed by a motorcyclist while crossing a busy intersection near Forest Park in Glendale on Friday afternoon.

Police from the 104th Precinct in Ridgewood responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Woodhaven Boulevard at Myrtle Avenue at 2:20 p.m., where they found the victim lying on the roadway, with trauma to her head and body.
