Small Forest Hills House to be Demolished, Residential Building Planned

75-42 Central Parkway (Google)

Sept. 26, 2018 Staff Report

A one-family house in Forest Hills is likely to be demolished and replaced with a four-story, eight-unit apartment building.

The owner, George Baharistani, filed plans last week to demolish a 2 ½ story wooden house at 75-42 Grand Central Parkway.

Baharistani filed plans in August to build an eight-unit residential building on the site. The building would include 7,100 square feet of residential space, equating to about 890 square feet per unit.

There would be two units on each floor.

At least it won’t be another ugly, oversized Russian monstrosity with more cameras than fort Knox and the entire village moved in. Unless the apartments will be given to the entire village by the developer. Time will tell.
