Two 14-year-old boys shot a man with a BB gun and robbed him in the heart of Forest Hills last night.
The boys approached a 66-year-old man standing near a bus stop at Austin Street and 70th Avenue at 1:10 a.m.
The pair asked the victim to hand over his wallet and phone. When he refused, one of the boys pulled a BB gun out of his waistband and shot the victim with a pellet in the torso. The man suffered a small laceration.
The two boys ran away but were apprehended a short distance away in front of 106-15 71 Ave.
The pair were charged with robbery, assault and criminal possession of a disguised gun. As the boys are juveniles, their names have not been released.

Crazy. They should be charged. They knew what they were doing. As for the thoughts that they cannot be from that neighborhood or they must be on welfare? Really?? I agree to the parents being questioned as to why boys that age are out at that time, but again ppl shouldn’t assume that they’re not from that neighborhood. Let’s not forget, kids/young adults, with money and from good neighborhoods, also commit crimes. Ex-Robert Chambers!

Crime down? Don’t think so. Bring back Stop and Frisk to eliminate a lot of these issues.
They should be sent to a jouvenile penatentury to serve a sentence for the crime they committed and they will definitely change for the better or come out the way they were
If you’re old enough to have committed a crime then you’re old enough to have your name made public.
I bet they’re not from Forest Hills, Rego Park or Kew Gardens.,
And if a real gun the 66 year old would be dead. These kids derserve to be dumped in jail. The parents should also be investigated see if they are supervising their kids, if not they should be taken away and the welfare checks stopped if on public assitance.
