Applications are now open to snag an affordable housing unit in a Forest Hills apartments complex.

Applicants are vying for a place on a wait list in a 430-unit affordable housing complex at 62-27 108th St.

Most of the affordable units are currently occupied, and winners will get a chance to move in when an apartment becomes vacant. Two of the 430 units are set aside for the building superintendents.

The buildings are managed by the nonprofit Phipps Houses, the oldest and largest nonprofit developer in New York City.

The lottery lists 35 studios, 142 one-bedrooms, 179 two-bedrooms, and 72 three-bedroom units. The rent starts at $1,462 a month for a single person in a studio— available to lottery winners who make between $50,126 and $73,100 a year.

The upper limit is $2,170 a month for a three to six-person family in a 3 bedroom unit. Such a family must make a minimum of $74,400 a year but no more than $121,000 a year to qualify.

Applications must be submitted by Sep. 10. A preference will be given to residents of New York City, according to NYC Housing Connect.

To apply online, visit nyc.gov/housingconnect. To request an application by mail, send a self-addressed envelope to: Forest Hills MHA HDFC, 902 Broadway 13th Floor, New York, NY 10010.
