A medical marijuana dispensary slated to come to Forest Hills will open its doors on July 10.
CuraLeaf New York is opening a 3,000 square foot dispensary at 107-18 70th Rd that aims to serve patients who suffer from illnesses such as chronic pain, PTSD, cancer and other conditions, according to the company.
The dispensary’s location was previously occupied by Santa Fe Steakhouse.
The business will be the second medical marijuana dispensary to open in Queens. Vireo Health opened a medical marijuana dispensary at 89-55 Queens Blvd. in Elmhurst in 2015.
The dispensary will offer marijuana capsules, tablets, tinctures, oils and under-the-tongue strips, as well as on-site counselors available to speak with patients about their care. It will be managed by a New York-licensed pharmacist.
The company also aims to offer ground flower, transdermal patches and other products in the future. Smoking marijuana— for medical reasons or otherwise— is prohibited in New York.
“Medical marijuana has already helped tens of thousands of New Yorkers and we are excited to welcome patients to our Forest Hills dispensary,” said Michelle Bodner, president of PalliaTech NY, which operates the dispensary under the brand name Curaleaf New York.

Great boots to the community
How absurd to have a medical marijuana dispensary that doesn’t offer flower as an option. All this means are illicit drug dealers continue to have the upper hand on marajuana sales. Good for them. Get your head outta ur ads NY
