Medical Marijuana Firm to Host Information Sessions in Kew Gardens Thursday

The company that is opening a medical marijuana dispensary in Forest Hills this summer will be hosting two seminars on Thursday in Kew Gardens about medical marijuana and the state’s program.

CuraLeaf New York, which is opening a dispensary at 107-18 70th Road. in coming months, is hosting the seminars, which will be held at 12:30 p.m. and at 5 p.m at the Comfort Inn in Kew Gardens. The free information sessions, titled “Cannabis 101,” aim to provide residents with information about medical cannabis and the New York State Department of Health’s medical marijuana program.

“Medical cannabis can help provide critical relief from serious and painful conditions that include cancer, PTSD and chronic pain, and it’s important that patients in Queens are aware of the treatment options available and how medical cannabis can be used in New York State,” said Michelle Bodner, CEO of Pallia Tech NY, which operates Curaleaf New York.

The educational sessions will be led by Kunal Patel, who will be the pharmacy manager at Curaleaf’s Forest Hills dispensary.

Will there be information on the current street rate to purchase script for a PTSD and constant pain diagnosis? And thank you to pharmacy manager Kunal Patel for arranging for the information session to be held downstairs from where I live.
