Police Release Photos, Video of Man Wanted for Violent Sex Attack in Kew Gardens Hills

Police have released photos and a video of the man suspected of brutally assaulting a woman in Kew Gardens Hills on Monday.

Police responded to a 911 call about a possible sexual attack near 72nd Road and Kissena Boulevard around 8:33 a.m. They discovered a woman, 52, lying unconscious at the bottom of an outdoor stairwell. 

The victim had sustained injuries to her face and body. She was rushed to an area hospital, where she is in serious condition. Police are continuing to investigate the assault.

The woman is reportedly still hospitalized, and is in critical but stable condition. She is reportedly unable to communicate with detectives about the crime.

Twenty individuals were indicted and variously charged in a wide-ranging scheme to steal cars in Queens, throughout New York City and its suburbs, following a three-year investigation by the Queens District Attorney’s Office, the NYPD, and the New York State Police dubbed “Operation Hellcat,” into the criminal enterprise based in Queens.

Some of the vehicles were stolen from owners’ driveways, some with the keys or key fobs inside.
