NYPD: Pedestrian Who Was Struck on Metropolitan Avenue on Jan. 18 Died Monday From Injuries

A 63-year-old Forest Hills man died Monday nearly two weeks after he was struck by a car while crossing Metropolitan Avenue.

Hung Ngo, of 69th Road, was hit while attempting to cross Metropolitan Avenue at 70th Avenue on Jan. 18 at around 10:50 a.m., police said. The driver, an 81-year-old female, was operating a 2013 Toyota Corolla. She remained on the scene.

The victim was unconscious and unresponsive when EMS arrived. He was transported to Jamaica Hospital in serious condition. On Jan. 29. he succumbed to his injuries.

Ngo was struck while the driver attempted to make a left turn on Metropolitan Avenue from 70th Avenue, according to police. The driver has not been charged.

Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest Hills and Transit District 20 are looking for a suspect who allegedly flashed a 13-year-old girl on a Queens subway train last month.

The victim was riding a southbound E train approaching the Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike station at around 1 p.m. on Monday, June 30, when she saw a stranger exposing himself to her, police said Wednesday. The perpetrator ran off the train at the Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike station and fled in an unknown direction. The youngster was not injured during her encounter with the stranger.
