A Paris Baguette bakery will be opening in Forest Hills in coming months— where Radio Shack was previously located.

The café/bakery, which will be two doors down from Starbucks at 107-08 Continental Ave., will be operated by Tina Ma, who opened a Paris Baguette in Rego Park in February.

Ma said she is opening the Forest Hills bakery after finding success with her 96-33 Queens Blvd., Rego Park, operation. She said that many of her current customers are from Forest Hills and have asked her to open a store in the neighborhood.

The section of Forest Hills where the bakery will be located is heavily trafficked, Ma said, and she believes that many residents are ideal customers for Paris Baguette.

“This store [will be] located on a very busy street, and the neighborhood is more like Manhattan,” Ma said, adding that many Paris Baguette franchises in Manhattan have done well.

The menu will include a wide range of options, including baked goods such as fresh bread, cakes and pastries, as well as a full brunch and lunch menu with sandwiches, soups and salads. It also has a large beverage menu with various teas. The bakery, however, will not be serving espressos.

Starbucks has a clause in its lease that prevents adjacent businesses from serving espresso-based drinks, such as latte and cappuccino.

Although Ma says that she would prefer to serve espresso, she understands why Starbucks inserted the clause.

“If I were in their position, I would do the same,” said Ma.

Nevertheless, she said, she is happy with her decision to open a bakery on Continental Avenue.

Sometimes you have to sacrifice for the location,” she said.

The New York City Council passed a landmark bill on Wednesday, aiming to relieve renters of paying hefty broker fees — a cost that will now fall on the party who hires the listing agent. Known as the FARE Act (Fairness in Apartment Rentals), the legislation passed with a veto-proof majority of 42-8, despite opposition from Republicans and conservative Democrats.
