A man attempted to stab a 16-year-old boy in front of a high school in Forest Hills Tuesday, according to police.
The suspect allegedly approached the victim—who was at a bus stop following school dismissal– at around 3:50 p.m. in front of Queens Metropolitan High School, located at 91-30 Metropolitan Ave.
The assailant then plunged a knife into the boy’s chest in an unprovoked attack. The knife, however, broke when it made contact, and the victim was not hurt. The suspect then fled the scene.
Police said it was unclear whether the suspect had any connection to the school. The victim did not know the attacker.
Police release video and photos of the suspect.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

If only “Stop & Frisk” was back in play. Perhaps this individual would have been apprehended before assaulting a teenager.
If the picture is the suspect, that’s not a man. That looks like a teenager. He’s a coward who thought he was tough because he had a weapon. I’m glad the kid is okay but mentally and emotionally, those scars will take a long time to heal. Somebody knows him and I hope they identify him. Problem is, he’ll be arrested, get minimum bail and be released to assault or hopefully not, kill somebody else.
