A popular Asian fusion restaurant located on Restaurant Row announced Monday that it will be temporarily closing for expansion and reopening in August.

MoCA, which also has restaurants in Hewlett and Woodbury, has been at its 107-18 70th Road location for the past eight years

Ivan Chen, manager of the Woodbury location, said the eatery is expanding its Forest Hills location into the vacant storefront next door, which was formerly Pizzeria Uno until it shuttered its doors two years ago.

Chen explained that the restaurant will have the same menu, but will have a larger dining area and bigger sushi bar.

“Once and a while you have to change the inside to give guests a new look,” Chen remarked.

Last year it was rumored Restaurant Row would be demolished for a new 12-story mix-use development, but the developer decided to not move forward with the plans after public opposition.
