A 38-year-old Manhattan man who was viciously assaulted and robbed on a street corner on the border of Kew Gardens and Richmond Hill on Valentine’s Day is dead, according to the NYPD.

Jose Luis Figueroa succumbed to his injuries on Feb. 19, just five days after the attack, the NYPD announced today. The case, cops said, has now been ruled a homicide.

The incident took place at around 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 14 at the corner of Jamaica Avenue and 132nd St, when a man pushed Figueroa to the ground causing him to hit his head and render him unconscious. Police released surveillance video of the violent shove.

The suspect then went through Figueroa’s pockets while he lay on the ground and removed some of his personal belongs before fleeing. It is unclear what was taken.

The police describe the suspect as being approximately 30 to 40 years of age and with a dark complexion.
