REGO PARK — The police are looking for a man who got inside a Rego Park apartment, punched the occupant in the stomach and then fled with a computer.
Police said that the suspect entered a residential building located in the vicinity of 63rd Drive and 99th Street at around 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31, before going inside the victim’s apartment, grabbing a laptop and attempting to leave.
The victim, a 37-year-old man, tried to stop the suspect and was punched several times in the stomach and was told by the suspect that he had a gun. The suspect then ran out of the apartment building with the computer.
The suspect is described by police as black, 20 to 30 years old, 5’10” to 5’11”, 185 to 190lbs, with tattoos on his neck and chest; last seen wearing a tan jacket, blue jeans and tan work boots.
